ISUZU REMAPPING

ECU remapping for the Isuzu D-Max pickup, carried out at your home, yard or workplace.

The D-Max has used a 2.5 diesel and, since 2017, a 1.9 diesel. Both respond well to a remap, mostly as stronger low-down and mid-range torque, which is what a working pickup needs when towing or loaded. Many D-Maxes work hard as farm, trade and towing vehicles, spending most of their time loaded and low in the rev range. That is where the extra torque is felt: pulling away with a trailer, climbing hills and holding speed without constant gear changes. The engine should be healthy first, so mention any warning lights when you enquire.

The work is done where the vehicle is parked, within around 20 miles of Swadlincote.

Isuzu Remapping questions answered

Is it worth remapping an Isuzu D-Max?

For a D-Max that tows or carries weight, usually yes: the extra torque is felt low in the rev range. It does not change payload or towing limits.

Can the 1.9 D-Max be remapped?

Yes. It is turbocharged, so fuelling and boost can both be adjusted. Send the registration to check before the visit.

Does a remap change my D-Max's towing or payload limit?

No. The towing and payload limits on the vehicle plate are set by Isuzu and stay exactly the same after a remap. It just makes the work feel easier.
