FORD REMAPPING

ECU remapping for Ford cars, vans and pickups, EcoBoost petrol and diesel, carried out at your home or workplace.

Ford's EcoBoost petrol engines, from the 1.0 three-cylinder in the Fiesta and Focus to the 2.3 in the latest Focus ST, are turbocharged and respond well to a remap, mostly as a stronger mid-range and a sharper throttle. The TDCi and EcoBlue diesels in the Kuga, Mondeo, Ranger and Transit range gain useful low-down torque, which is where a working vehicle spends most of its day.

Charlie had his Fiesta and his dad's Focus remapped and wrote in his Google review that “both feel completely different now.” The work is done where the car is parked, within around 20 miles of Swadlincote.

Remap Man offers mobile Ford remapping from Swadlincote, covering customers within around 20 miles, including Burton upon Trent, Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Coalville, Tamworth, Derby and Lichfield. Send your registration, make, model and postcode to confirm availability and pricing for your vehicle.

Ford Remapping questions answered

Can a 1.0 EcoBoost be remapped?

Yes. It is turbocharged, so a remap can adjust boost and fuelling, and the difference is usually most noticeable in mid-range pulling. The engine should be healthy first, so mention any warning lights or known issues when you enquire.

Is it worth remapping a Ford Transit?

Transits and Transit Customs spend most of their day loaded and low in the rev range, which is where a remap adds the most torque. It does not change payload or towing limits.

Which Ford models can be remapped?

Most turbocharged Fords: Fiesta, Puma, Focus, Kuga, Mondeo, S-Max, Galaxy, Ranger and the Transit range, in petrol and diesel. Send the registration to check before the visit.
